one-to-one drum tuition

Percussive Edge offers drum lessons for beginners upwards. Minimum age is 9 years old.

The content of the drum lesson depends on the standard of the student. But overall it is structured to cover styles of music and many different aspects of performance. Understanding and knowledge is an important factor, therefore each student is monitored closely to ensure that information is retained.

Building a strong foundation is important if you are a beginner, therefore patience will be required. Should you be more advanced then installing more confidence into your playing will be the key factor within the drum lesson structure.

Content of a drum lesson

Drum lessons will cover music foundation, reading, rudiments, play-along tacks, sight-reading, technique, grooves, phrasing, styles, independence, vocabulary, ear tests, general theory and knowledge of the instrument, etc.
